Summary
Structuring the credit platform, commercial model, global credit partner processes, governance and organisational design to take NZAB from adviser to institutional-scale lender.
- Situation
- NZAB set out to become a licensed lender while simultaneously raising institutional funding — a business transformation and a capital process running in parallel, in an asset class with no global precedent for this structure.
- Structure
- The world’s first securitisation structure for agricultural loan assets: tranched debt, a defined equity/debt framework, institutional lending controls and the board and entity architecture to support them.
- Capital
- A NZ$1bn platform funded through multiple global credit partner processes, with a scalable path to NZ$3bn+ of deployment.
- Strategic outcome
- NZAB is now New Zealand’s first independent non-bank agricultural lender at institutional scale, with a clear pathway to IPO or strategic exit. Global credit funds have since engaged Arcbridge on further platform opportunities.
